Why families choose us
A steady place, built for little routines.
Consistency does more for a child than novelty ever will. Everything about Daydream Depot is built to feel familiar: the same faces, the same rhythm, the same warm room.
01
Small, steady groups
Real teacher-to-child ratios instead of a crowd. Every teacher actually knows every kid in the room, by name and by mood.
02
A day with real structure
Circle time, learning centers, outdoor play, rest: the same dependable shape every day, so kids always know what comes next.
03
Two decades of trust
Daydream Depot has been part of the Excelsior Springs community for more than twenty years, licensed and locally run the whole way through.
A day at Daydream Depot
The rhythm of an ordinary Tuesday.
Nothing flashy, just a day shaped around how young kids actually learn: through repetition, movement, and a lot of hands-on play.
Doors open, morning free play
Slow arrivals, quiet corners, and toys out for whoever gets here first.
Breakfast & circle time
A shared meal, then songs, calendar, and a look at what today has in store.
Learning centers
Letters, numbers, sensory bins, and blocks, rotating stations led in small groups.
Lunch & story time
A hot lunch followed by a picture book and some quiet lap time.
Rest & quiet time
Cots out, lights low, soft music: the room resets for the afternoon.
Snack & outdoor play
Fresh air on the play yard, rain or shine when we can manage it.
Enrichment
Music, art, or motor-skills time, rotating through the week.
Wind-down & pickup
Free play and a calm goodbye as families trickle in through 6:00.
Programs by age
One roof, four stages of growing up.
Rooms are grouped by age so the pace, the toys, and the routine always fit who is actually in them.

A look inside
Rooms built for small hands.
A concept look at how the space could be shown online. The final site would use real photos of the actual classrooms.
What families say
Word of mouth, mostly.
“
Our son has been in the toddler room for a year and it still feels like the same calm, well-run place it was on day one. The teachers notice everything.
“
What sold us was how small the groups actually are. Our daughter isn’t just another name on a roster here, the teachers know her.
“
After-school pickup from our kids’ elementary is what we needed most, and it’s never once fallen through. Homework help is a nice bonus.
Good to know
Questions families usually ask.
Six weeks old through age twelve, split across four age-based rooms: The Nest, Sprouts, Explorers, and Trailblazers.
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Closed weekends and major holidays, and a full calendar is shared at enrollment.
Yes, Daydream Depot operates as a fully licensed child care facility, with staff trained in first aid and CPR.
Absolutely. Tours run on weekday mornings so you can see a real day in progress, not an empty room.
Ratios stay well within state requirements and get tighter in the younger rooms, so ask about your child’s specific age group on a tour.
Come see it for yourself
Book a weekday morning tour.
Fifteen minutes on the phone is usually enough to know if a spot is open in your child’s age group. No pressure, no obligation.
